    First Tournament – Cavalier Invitational

    The newly formed Mount Si Lacrosse Club ventured up to Bellingham last weekend for their first tournament, the North County Cavalier Invitational. Teams from across Washington met at Whatcom Community College’s Orca Field on Saturday and Sunday.

    Team captain Matt Mahrer scored the first goal of the season within the first 30 seconds of the game against North County, then followed up with a second goal a few minutes later.

    Highlights included strong face off play by freshman Beau Bachand and vicious defensive play by Tom Evans and Nathan Whited through all three games.

    Mount Si Lacrosse Club plays their first league games against Sammammish on Tuesday, March 16 and Lake Washington on Thursday, March 18.
